Basements are often below ground level, with limited ventilation and cooler temperatures, which encourages condensation. Prolonged elevated moisture can lead to an unpleasant smell, a risk of mould and damage to items stored there.
For long-term basement drying, use the continuous drainage hose so the machine can run without you needing to empty the tank constantly — especially useful over a multi-day rental period.
