Why fast action after flooding matters

After a burst pipe or minor flooding, moisture can seep into flooring, walls and furniture, creating a risk of mould if the room isn't dried quickly enough. The faster you start drying, the lower the chance that moisture causes long-term damage.

• Place the dehumidifier near the flooded area
• If possible, combine it with an air mover for faster air circulation
• Keep the room closed so the dehumidifier can work efficiently
• Follow the moisture meter reading to know when the room is dry enough

If the flooding also affected a carpet or soft furniture, it may need to be cleaned with the Kärcher Puzzi 8/1 before further drying.
